Hopeful Stories/ Happy Ending

I'm looking for stories like The Way Back by

rainylemons (read this shit!) where the boys (Sam and Dean and/or Cas) are in a pretty dark place/ depressed/ etc.. but slowly work their way up to their happy ending. I'd prefer if this was not the 'I'm so hurt, take care of me' kind of fic, but the boys finding out of their mess because of their own strength. Something that leaves you optimistic at the (happy) end. Can be the AU drug addiction kind of fic, mute or blind!boys or dealing with the apocalypse or something completelly different.

Another Recommendation

I also recommend "The Long Road Back". Despite taking place in the End!Verse the ending is pretty good and hopeful for an End!verse fic. Castiel in particular is in a dark place but gets better with Dean's help. http://bleeding-muse.livejournal.com/78176.html

Oops, I should warn that my recommendation does have slash between Dean and Castiel and some of the later chapters have some graphic but consensual sex scenes.
