I'm looking for stories like The Way Back by rainylemons  (read this shit!) where the boys (Sam and Dean and/or Cas) are in a pretty dark place/ depressed/ etc.. but slowly work their way up to their happy ending. I'd prefer if this was not the 'I'm so hurt, take care of me' kind of fic, but the boys finding out of their mess because of their own strength. Something that leaves you optimistic at the (happy) end. Can be the AU drug addiction kind of fic, mute or blind!boys or dealing with the apocalypse or something completelly different.
