Sam is willing to forgive and forget, but Dean still can't forgive Castiel for what happened at Purgatory's gate. I don't have anything but I had to grin. I was scrolling down my flist and went past this, then backed up because I've done a bit of research into the town in the past. It's said to have inspired the setting for the Silent Hill film (and possibly some of the games) and I ended up drawing on details and pictures of the town for a story I wrote for my capstone project years ago. Glad to see someone else knows about it :D

Honestly I remembered it because like most people I have a great memory for catastrophes and for human stupidities. Centralia covered both....

Yes, it was the inspiration for the games (movie is based off the games.) My husband and I are huge Silent Hill fanatics, and when I saw this post, it was the first thing I thought of, too! I had never thought of it for a Supernatural type storyline, but it totally works....maybe you should write to the show! :P

Maybe then, they would stop featuring places in Kansas and the general Midwest that they don't know anything about...
