Thematic search: Dean valued/appreciated by OMC's  
Guys, I've a hankering to read stories where Dean is neglected/abandoned/unappreciated by John and/or Sam, however, an outsider/OMC recognizes how amazing/self sacrificing/talented Dean really is.

Dean can have low self esteem, or just be depressed/disappointed that his family seem to find him disposable, or can't be bothered to return his calls/help him when he is injured or in trouble.

I want the outsider/OMC to make him see what a wonderful person he is and to make him feel valued and loved.

I'll take any genre, Gen, slash, anything, I don't mind.

I know it's pretty vague, but I'm hoping you guys can help me out, I just want Dean to be recognized for the treasure that he really is.

I second Weird Dean. One of my all time Dean/OMC faves! He is loved & appreciated by his family in it but perhaps not as much as the OMC who is wonderful! :)

The first fics I thought of are Land's End (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/3719763/1/Land-s-End) and its sequel, Man's Allotted Span (https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4165502/1/Man-s-Allotted-Span) by Janissa11.

The 1300 Days (http://archiveofourown.org/works/695225) by stele3 also features an OMC (a supernatural creature) who sees Dean in a very positive light and helps Dean through some very tough times.

I've read the first two, but thanks for reminding me about them, they are going to get a re-read. I've not read the fic by stele3, it looks great, I can't wait to read it.
