hey yall, i'm looking for a SPECIFIC fic which has been haunting my memory for like, the better part of the month. if anyone can help me find it, i would be so incredibly grateful.

here's what background stuff i can remember:

• sam pov


• mid-late seasons (set between s5 and s8, s7/8 is my best guess)


• canon fic, not an AU


• hurt comfort, emphasis on the hurt


• sam is physically and psychologically ill


• dean is mad depressed and sam thinks about it in the fic

there's a snippet that i can't stop thinking about. it was exceptionally well written, and sam's internal monolog was so tight and spot on. in the scene:

• sam is hurt, sick, frustrated, desperate


• he goes for a run in the rain and pushes himself hard


• thinks about faking it til you make it


• thinks about smiling when you don't want to smile


• his internal narration highly endorses the above points. he wants to play through the pain.


• dean is shouting for him but sam is too sick and too wrapped up in his own thoughts to hear him


• ... until he collapses

Sometimes I read awesome stories on LiveJournal that have no AO3 link or PDFs. I could copy and paste everything into a Word document and create my own PDFs, but I figured I'd ask around about a few specific fics first and maybe even find some gems... and if anyone knows how to download ff.net fics, that would be amazing. Reading them is great, but sometimes authors delete their own work. I've been collecting my favorite fics lately to ensure I can always read them.

1. I'm looking for the PDF of Instinct by highermagic. Or an AO3 link.
2. Anything by K Hanna Korossy or KKBELVIS, two of my favorite authors. I love love love their stories, but I can't find PDFs anywhere.
3. What is Always and Everywhere by portraitofafool, an apocalyptic AU in which Sam is a werewolf gladiator and Dean is crossing the country in search of him.

4. And, hey, any amazing recs or self-recs that have PDFs. I prefer lengthy Sam or Jared-centered fics, nothing too dark, wincest okay, bottom!Sam or Jared, and minimal Cas. But I'll take all suggestions, and others on this board will have other tastes. I also love sick fics!

So I guess they've removed all the links off the delicious for Blindfold spn, because I can't find their fics anymore, but I remember there was a wincest fill where Dean was very sick and Sam found that...well, pretty irresistible. I remember that Sam kind of coaxes him into having sex, because he was just so helplessly turned on by Dean's 'feverish helplessness' (it wasn't rape..they were in an established relationship and Dean, even though he was really sick still gets into the idea in the end, because well..its Sam).
Anyway...I know it's a long shot, but I was wondering if there were any fics like that? It doesn't even have to have the boys in a relationship, it could perhaps even be Sam coaxing the other brother into having sex with him when Dean is helplessly sick and can't resist him (yes, I know I'm twisted...). It could even be the other way around with Sam being sick instead instead of Dean.

Anyway...
If there aren't any fics like that, I was wondering if you could rec me any Wincest fics (not gen) with sick!boys. Just schmoopy, fluffy fics, with one boy being all concerned and taking care of their sick brother.

I'm looking for a lengthy fic where Jensen is a secret agent. He and his team drafted Jared into helping them. Jared works undercover for them at a hotel, speaking several languages fluently. He goes out with the mark on a yacht and drinks a little. They go to bed together that night. Jared overhears a phone call in Arabic, or some other foreign language. I think his undercover name was Ben. After he sleeps with the mark, he goes to Jensen, throws up in the bathroom, and they have sex in the shower. The ending was tricky... I think Jensen thought Jared was dead or something like that, but he wasn't. The mark dies.

Secondly, any Chirstmas fics where Jared or Sam is hurt or sick are much appreaciated.

And since I'm here, if y'all have ever read a fic where Jared is a cop, gets shot, and meets nurse Jensen in the hospital, I'm looking for that fic too.

Also are there any stories where the guys start dating and does NOT know the other one is poor. Like they go for expensive meals or outings and the other struggles to pay for it.

Lastly, is there any stories similar to Ambush on FF.Net and Sam gets badly injured and takes ages to recover while still running from the bad guys.

I'm looking for two specific fics I read a while ago:

1) Sam is at Stanford when he gets a call that he has a half brother (Adam) whose mom has died. Sam takes Adam in and takes care of him. Sam eventually gets sick and John and Dean come to the hospital where they find out about Adam. I think I read this fic on AO3, but I can't seem to find it.

2) Sam and Adam somehow escape the cage, but Sam comes back wrong. I remember Sam being almost incoherent and mentally unstable. Adam tries to take care of Sam and travels in search of Dean and Bobby. I also remember Adam feeling guilty because he thinks the reason Sam is mentally messed up is because Sam was trying to protect Adam while in the cage.

Hi guys! I know this is a long shot and it's extremely unlikely that anyone will know the fic I'm looking for because I honestly don't remember much about it. It's several years old....maybe like 5 years or so? It was a WIP that I had bookmarked on my old pc before it crashed and burned and was wondering if it was ever finished. Basically I mostly remember the last scene where Dean was alone (I believe on a cliff but could have been in a desert) and he was injured badly. Not sure if it was a mountain lion or a supernatural creature but I seem to remember him being scratched up with claws and the way it left we weren't sure if he was going to survive (though it wasn't tagged as a death fic). I believe Sam was at Bobbys recovering from an injury or sickness? And I think he just discovered how Dean felt towards him (or maybe they just had 1st time Wincest) and maybe he wasn't too accepting at first or was upset or something? Which was why Dean left? I might be mixing up stories but the part I remember most was Dean being stranded and hurt at the end of the cliffhanger. Ring any bells? Since I don't remember much I'm guessing on some of the tags.

Edit: I might be mixing stories but I *think* before they got to Bobbys Sam was cursed or something and was feverish, etc and begging Dean for sex. Dean had been hiding his feelings for Sam & held out as long as he could before giving in.

I read a story when Sam finds a book of different types of Devil's Traps in the Men of Letters bunker and starts to experiment with them. He draws one and gets stuck in it and can't get out. I remember that Sam thought it was because of the demon blood but that wasn't why he was stuck. I think Dean ends up rescuing him in the end, he might have been stuck for a couple of days?

Fic found, Beyond Good and Evil

I was just re-watching Wire in the Blood and the main character learns he has a tumor. When his doctor tells him of the symptoms if they don't remove it, well, it made me think of the boys.

Does anyone know of a story with either of them having to deal with something like this? I've come across a number of physical traumas/illness/injury stories but nothing regarding the brain.

I prefer no wincest or slash and no death-fic unless it's well done (No Line on the Horizon comes to mind)

I am just looking for some good old big brother Dean taking care of Sam ( Season 1- 8 okay)
with a lot of brotherly fluff, self rec welcome too.
Looking specifically where Dean is basically mother-henning the heck out of Sam and Sam is pouting cause he hates being delegated or reminded of his little brother status.

And there is no way to fight it cause Sam knows better from past experiences when Dean is in Mama Bear mode there no one that can get through and everyone who knows Dean step away and leave him to it. Something akin to "what I say goes Sammy"....
Also is there any of the stories has Sam looking to Bobby or Castiel or Even other characters for help..but they all have the same knee jerk reaction "awww hell no I'm not touching that with a ten foot pole... sorry kid you're on your own" They know better than to cross Dean when it comes to the well care of Sam....

I was wondering if you can suggest me any fanfiction with Sam dealing with an embarrassing medical problem (genital/anal areas or something similar as long as it would take a bit for him to let other people know) and he tried to hide it started to give him hard time and he couldn't help but tell Dean or Dean found it out himself and ask him to let him give a look (and maybe try to cure him).

1. I am looking for wincest fics, set in pre-Stanford era (funny how we call that an 'era', huh?) in which Dean tries to come to terms with his attraction for his teenage brother. I prefer something from Dean's POV in which he finds Sam insanely attractive and is falling in love with him. But, he also feels that he is sick and tries to stop feeling that way about his little brother. It doesn't matter if Sam returns Dean's feelings or not (though I would love it if he did. We all like happy endings, after all) I just want to see Dean struggling with his feelings.

2. Any gen or wincest fics in which Sam gets sick or hurt, Dean is partially or fully responsible for that and Dean feels guilty.
I read so many fics that fit the description but back then, I didn't bookmark these fics. Some of the scenarios that I remember are: Dean feeds Sam spoiled chicken and Sam gets sick (though Dean didn't intend for that to happen, he was just angry). Then, one fic in which Sam complains of being sick just before they have to go on a hunt and John thinks Sam is faking it. But, he does leave Dean with Sam and Dean isn't too happy about being left out of a hunt. Later, Sam gets so sick that he is hospitalized and Dean feels guilty. Another fic, which is set in S7, has an alcoholic Dean accidentally shooting Sam when on a hunt and once again, Dean feels guilty (surprise, surprise).
So, rec me any fics that are similar to the scenarios I mentioned. You don't have to find these specific fics for me but, I'm sure they will turn up somewhere in your recs. I'm just looking for fics of the hurt/comfort nature with sick/hurt!Sammy and guilty/protective!Dean.

I do prefer bottom!Sam if there are NC-17 scenes involved. But, right now I am looking for the story and character emotions rather than the smut so, I'll take bottom!Dean too. Just drop me a little warning.

I read these stories awhile back and I have been trying to relocate them to no avail. I don't remember the titles or authors. I was hoping someone in this community would recognize the stories and point me in the right direction. The people here seem to be extremely well read in spn fic and can find basically anything. Well, here goes:

1) This one is a general fic that is inspired by the story in the song "This is The End" by The Doors. I believe that Dean has this song stuck in his head before he performs some ritual or deal and becomes a demon on Earth. It was in the aftermath of his deal to save Sam. Sam remembers the song and uses it to track Dean and find out where he would be etc...Dean had kidnapped a boy that reminded him of Sam. Dean also wanted to kill Sam. Eventually he finds Dean and he is tortured by him and somehow he reverses the deal/ritual (i forget which it is). And Dean is all "Omg what have I done kill me now." The main thing is that threaded throughout the story this song is present.

2) This story is a crack fic that features a sick!Sam and a Dean that calls Bobby to help him with Sam's really high fever that won't break. Bobby tells him it's ghost related and he needs to bless Robitussin and give it to Sam. Dean says that's stupid or something but they try it and it works. It was really funny and I would love to find it again.

If anyone knows where these fics are I would be eternally grateful!

1) The first is where Sam only wants to be around Castiel because he smells like Lucifer, don't remember the pairing though, either Sam/Castiel or Sam/Dean.

2) The second is a Dean/Sam kinda fic where Dean has moved himself and Sam into an apartment and they've stopped hunting. Sam is really damaged from his time in the cage and acts differently. Dean tries to work but can't because Sam is too unstable to be left alone. Sam has a closet he can go into when things get bad or something.

Hey all! I'm looking for fics where a doctor visits Sam or Dean, or Jared or Jensen at home. Preferably set in modern day, because it's so rare. Blizzards, other bad weather, or simply refusal to go to the hospital might bring the doctor to them. I've found a couple:

The Raven - a doctor who's actually a ghost or dead guy visits sick Sam when he and Dean are investigating the history of a hotel. It's pouring outside, roads are flooding, that sort of thing. The doctor is supposedly on-call for the hotel. One of the first things Dean says when he opens the door is, “You’re a doctor? What, from the eighteen hundreds?"

Growing Pains - a doctor is fetched for injured Sam in Chapter 11 of this pre-series story. John stays with Sam while Jim goes to find a doctor and bring him to the motel. (Dean in otherwise injured and thus, temporarily out of the picture). One of the first things the doctor mutters in way of a self-introduction is, "Hal Birdstrom, freshly kidnapped from County General. Is this my patient?"

There was also one I can't seem to find in my bookmarks wherein Sam and Dean were both injured and broke into some kind of animal hospital or something. Pre-series, I think. It was from the "doctor's" POV. Sam was stitched up on the table first, while Dean held the doctor at gunpoint. True, it's not exactly a home visit, but it was a unique situation and I liked it. I get tired of reading about normal clinic/hospital/office visits.

Other situations might have: mob doctors, doctors that "won't ask any questions", field doctors, mad scientist doctors, EMT park rangers, Jared or Jensen as the doctor (outside a hospital setting), and more.

Any other fics like these out there? Any rating, wincest or not, self-recs, Jared and Jensen fics welcome. I'm open to pretty much anything. Thanks!

I'm looking for a fic I read on fanfiction.net. In it, Sam was gaining a lot of weight despite the fact that he was barely eating anything and John left him at Bobby's because John deemed Sam unfit to hunt. Bobby ended up bringing Sam to the hospital and it turned out he was retaining water because of some sickness. Thanks for any help!

So ages ago I read a fic where Sam gets hurt or sick and John and Dean leave him at Pastor Jim's while they go on a hunt. All I can remember about it is that Bobby shows up to visit and while he and Pastor Jim are outside Sam falls down the stairs and they call in the paramedics.

I have been looking for it for days now. This'll certainly teach me not to bookmark good fics :/

I remembering reading a story where Sam is really cold. The story starts off with Sam and Dean finishing a case during the winter in a cold climate. Sam is shivering in the car and Dean is wondering why he is so cold. Then Dean remembers a time when Sam was younger and the family was living in a cold house or motel. Dean leaves for a hunt and John plans on joining him in a few days. Before Dean leaves, he makes John promise to buy Sam a new winter coat since the one he has is too small. John promises but ends up just giving Sam $12 to buy one himself before he leaves to meet Dean. Of course Sam can't buy a winter coat for $12 and so he becomes really cold.

After a bit of time, John and Dean come home and Sam is at deaths door since he is so cold. Dean is angry and John when he finds out that John didn't keep his promise. Sam recovers but ever since then, he doesn't do well in the cold. Dean always makes sure their hunts in the winter time are in the south so Sam won't be effected by the weather.

Looking for a specific fic, and then a general search for some hurt!sam and guilty!dean. Both pre-series.

1. First the specific fic. I don't know if it's been deleted, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. So basically it starts with Dean, who I think is angry with Sam about something, he makes Sam eat some chicken that he found in the back of their fridge. Sam then becomes Dean and Dean feels extremely guilty.

2. Second is a general search for teen Sam and Dean having a fight which ends up with Sam getting hurt. Bonus points for Sam upsetting Dean in some way and him trying to make it up to Dean, again ending with some hurt or angsty Sammy.

Half Past Dead Summary: Sam and Dean are both sick, but while buying medicine for them, Dean is abducted by Meg. There are some people you can sure do without when you have the flu...

An Unlikely Partnership Summary: When finding a way to release Dean from Purgatory Sam gets an epic case of the flu. Crowley's is forced to take care of him... He does so grudgingly and with much complaint.

Whoever the enemy is doesn't need to outwardly care that Sam or Dean are sick. In fact, if they're in character, they probably don't. I'm not really looking for slash but self-recs are welcome. Thanks!

Most fever fics take place in a motel or at Bobby’s. I looking for ones where Sam has a fever while kidnapped (A+ if these are found), or during a hunt or something. While something is happening. Fever fic with plot. The only one I’ve come across is “Catch Your Death” and it was amazing. I prefer longer fics, but I’m not picky. Wincest is fine (in fact, after Catch Your Death, I’d consider having sex with a fever a unique situation). “Fevers & Visions” was pretty funny and sorta unique, but it mostly took place in the motel and hospital.

If it’s really hard to find fics to fit this specific bill, sick fics in unique situations are acceptable, as is fever!Dean. Doesn’t need to be a fever specifically, I guess. I just like them, especially when the vulnerability of a fever entirely clashes with a situation in which you need to be at your strongest. Like during an abduction.

I can't find one of the first authors I read and it's making me nuts...she has a series where they have a dog, but the main story I remember is Sam and Dean go to a camp where Sam broke his arm as a kid, and it turns out this guy had tried to kill him as a teen and almost kills him again....I know I'm gonna hit myself when I find it, but please help!

This has been driving me nuts for days now. I know I have read this story 100 times and I know I have it on my favorites list on ff.net buuuuutttttt I can't remember a single thing about it except for this one scene.

Sam has a very high fever due to an injury and/or illness. I think Dean and Sam are staying at Bobby's. Dean is downstairs arguing with Bobby. Because of the fever, Sam is delirious and he sneaks out the door. He is wandering the highway and collapses. A cop sees Sam and goes over to help him. Sam is calling for Dean. The cop asks if he means Dean Winchester. The cop then says "you must be Sam Winchester. I am officer so and so and I'm working your case." The cop loads Sam into the car and drives him to Bobby's. Dean realizes that Sam is missing and is frantically trying to find him. The cop pulls up and tells Dean "I think it's past time you take Sam to the hospital". Dean agrees and I think Sam has a seizure at that point.

That is all I remember and I know I'm going to slap myself in the head once someone tells me what story it is.

I read this one a while ago and wanted to reread it, but it's gotten lost in my abysmally-organised and massively huge bookmarks folder:

It starts with teen Jensen coming into hospital with not much hope and a brain tumour (he's got poor co-ordination/reflexes etc. because of it). In the ward he meets happy-go-lucky teen Jared who appears to have nothing wrong with him and is the only other patient.

As the fic progresses, Jensen learns that Jared got HIV/AIDS from his first/only boyfriend and is shocked by how much hope he still holds.

They start to fall in love and Jared persuades Jensen to go in for the surgery, even though it is quite risky. Jensen draws hope from Jared, goes through with it and pulls out the other side completely fine.

I just remembered a story I read about Sam being really hurt or sick and Dean uses recipes from people they met in their past to get Sam to eat. I remember one being from their Grandma and it was Mac&Cheese.

I'm looking for a specific pre-series story where Dean and Sam are young and John leaves them alone in a motel for so long they run out of money. I think Sam gets sick. Dean is too young to even get into a bar let alone hustle pool; he tries to shoplift but that doesn't work (I think because he's so young and because he's alone he's being watched too closely by adults).Out of desperation Dean ends up agreeing to do something sexual with this awful man who lures him into a van and then tries to rape him.  Dean fights him off with a small knife but I think he drops the motel key running away so he has to get back to the hotel and figure out how to get Sam out before this man gets there.It's a dark and terrifying story and for some reason it's haunting me so I'm hoping if I find it and read it again (and if the ending is even a bit happy--I can't remember) I can put it to rest.

Also, there's a woman with the bad guy (she's evil too) and Dean gets away from the man and woman by using this little knife--it might be something like a swiss army knife corkscrew which he stabs the guy in the foot or leg with?

I'm looking for any story where Dean is possessed and hurts Sam; there's one I specifically remember reading that I can't find and I really want to read it again.  It was set during season 1 I think, and when Dean 'woke up' from his possession he was in the Impala on the side of the road.  He called Sam and left a message saying he thought he had been raped because he was bloody in certain areas and when he got back to the motel he found Sam tied to the bed and terrified of Dean because possessed!Dean raped him.  Anything like that I would love to read though I would prefer if it had a happy ending!

Um second, anything with hurt/sick!Sam and protective!Castiel/Gabriel or any other angel if you can find it.

So I am looking for an angst fest. I am looking for stories that deal with a sick sam. Like diagnosed with cancer or something short or long doesn't matter. The only important thing is no character death or no permanent disability Gen is preferred. Thank you for any and all help.

Hi all, I'm looking for a specific pre-series hurt!sam fic. Dean is on a hunt with Caleb and John takes Sam to a really run-down cabin in a remote town. John leaves for a hunt and gives sam a list of chores to do (i.e. chop wood, fix furnace, clean guns) but Sam is in a car accident with a man who owns the gas station who tries to molest Sam. He hides the injuries from John and gets really sick and delicious angst ensues. I think I read it on FF, but am not positive.

Sorry for the confusing description, but hopefully someone recognizes it!

Also I would love any recs for hurt/sick Sam fics, especially weechesters or pre-series fics.

1. J2 I thought I found this fic on spn-littlebro, but now I can't find it. Jensen is some sort of public figure & Jared is hired to get Jensen to have sex with him, which would be filmed, so the world would know Jensen was gay. Someone tips Jensen off so he gets the cameras shut off, but he has sex with Jared anyway. I also remember that Jared has a knee injury from an accident when he was a teenager and his brother calls him 'Red'. Ring any bells?

2. Pre-series hurt!Sam I think I found this on fanfiction.net Sam had suffered a head injury and John was worried because he was acting weird, I think he has a seizure or something and ends up in the hospital. The doctors have a hard time figure out what was wrong and I think it turned out to be a reaction to tylonal or some medication.

The two fics I'm looking for are hurt!Sam(obviously) and I hope someone can help me ifnd them quickly.  I've been looking for them for a long time and if you help me I will love you forever.

1) I don't remember what season it was in but I think it was season 2.  Anyway Sam was kidnapped by a monster(don't remember what) and he was tied up in a basement that had a bad leek and it was storming.  When Dean and Bobby find him the water is high eough that he almost drowns and that is pretty much all I remember.  Oh and it also contained awesome!Dean and Bobby with hurt!and-possibly-sick!Sam

2) Set in either season 1 or 2.  Sam fell down a mine shaft on a hunt(I'm thinking it was for a wendigo) and ended up with a concussion.  It took Dean a long time to find him and Sam was out of it and possibly sick.  I honestly don't remember much more so I hope someone can help.

3) Sam got hit by a car and was left on the side of the road.  Dean found him and he knew Sam was dying so he stayed with him and cuddled right there on the side of the road.  After Sam dies he comes back (temporarily) as a ghost to talk to Dean before he moves on.

Sorry if any of these are really vague but I haven't read any of them for a while.

I'm looking for 2 specific stories

1. a teen Sam is in a play at school but there is a hunt and John misses opening night. It was really important to Sam that John and Dean be there because some of the other kids were saying that John didn't love Sam. Sam insisted that John does love him and to prove it, John would be at the play opening night. It is NOT Center Stage by Somebody Once.

2. Dean has been neglecting Sam and not noticing that he is sick and hurt (physically and emotionally). They are on a hunt when things turn ugly for Sam. Sam gets seriously hurt so bad that Mary comes down from heaven to get Sam. Dean realizes how wrong he has been and begs Mary to let him keep Sam. Mary cuddles with Sam for a bit and gives Dean a chastisement then puts Sam in Deans waiting arms.
