I read a fic sometime ago but have managed to lose it. i dont remember the author but the fic was placed in season 8 after citizen fang, when dean goes to the motel to meet and explain to sam. In the fic when Dean enters the room he finds it trashed, with liqour bottles everywhere and sam is obviously drunk. if i remember correctly when he asks sam "where was the party" or something, sam replies "its a wake" that is when dean sees an empty bottle of pills and realises that sam tried to kill himself by causing an OD> after that Dean calls for help and gets sam to a hospital where when sam wakes up he yells at him and assures him that he is the only brother he wants.

can someone please help me locate this fic, i would love to read it again.

I was wondering if there are any stories where Dean is afraid of Castiel after what happened in episode 8x17 "Goodbye Stranger" (like flinching away from his touch when he tries to help him), and more importantly, doesn't forgive him just like that. After all, that was the second time Castiel beat him to hell and almost killed him, so I think Dean would have a harder time just forgiving him.

I'm looking for a meta I read a few months ago, written after Sacrifice.  It focused on Sam and Dean's methods of communication (Sam: verbal, Dean: physical), particularly as relates to their interaction in S8.  Specifics include how Dean in particular would communicate with mixed messages - he would do things that indicated his support of Sam, while simultaneously saying things that did not support Sam, thus what Dean intends to communicate (physically) is not what Sam understands (because Sam takes in what Dean is saying more than what he's doing).  Yet in the climactic scene of Sacrifice, they finally get on the same page because Dean's actions and words are finally consistent.

I was wondering if there are any episode tag fics for "Southern Comfort" where Sam and Dean have angry sex or just screw their problems away after their argument at the end of the episode.

I was thinking about how much Dean has been through in the last few seasons and that he hasn't had a lot of time to just stop and deal with everything. I'm looking for fic from seasons 6-8 that deal with Dean being forced to stop and deal because of an injury, illness, and just the fact that he just can't keep going. I would love for other characters to take notice and make sure he's ok.

I just rewatched the Season 8 finale a few days ago, and it got me craving a particular type of fic...

Basically I would like to see a fic where, having fallen from Heaven due to Metatron's machinations, Cas is now completely human and powerless. Hence, when he first meets Sam and Dean again, they expect him to be pretty useless as far as hunting is concerned, nothing more than a burden. Cas, being generally confused and clueless as he is (even more so now that he's human), does nothing to dispel this notion. Then after some time, when Sam and Dean get into a fight with a demon/monster/random supernatural hoodoo, Cas proves to be surprisingly and effortlessly efficient in human forms of combat (can be hand-to-hand, shooting, whatever). This takes Sam and Dean completely by surprise, as they never imagined that a human Cas would be useful in battle.

If anyone can recommend any such fics to me, that would be really nice.

Sam and Dean are hunting with Benny and it is hinted that Benny is feeding from Dean and it is vaguely sexual.

Sam and Dean have been together at one point but that has changed since purgatory. They are hunting vampires and they fall down into a cave or hole or something and they have desperate sex. When Benny gets them out Dean has to go to hospital and Sam flees.

I hope that makes sense and someone finds this cause I really liked it and would like to print it out again!!

i can't seem to find this fic anywhere! it's set during season 8, not episode specific. takes place in the men of letters bunker. it starts with cas pacing around and being really agitated and dean orders cas to sit down and wait for him to come back. dean goes to the kitchen or something but he gets distracted talking to sam and it takes him awhile to get back, but when he does, cas is still sitting exactly where dean left him, and he's totally calmed down now and just kind floating in subspace.

dean looks after him and doesn't take advantage or anything and in the morning he explains to cas about d/s and asks cas if he'd like to try that and they set a date to hook back up and having d/s sex. they don't do anything really hardcore, and no s&m, just d/s, and it's pretty schmoopy.

anyway i really liked this fic and i thought i'd bookmarked it and i really hope it hasn't been deleted or anything! can anyone help me out?

Also read a great gen fic where Sam nearly drains all of his blood to try and get Dean out of Purgatory (Darkest Before Dawn by Marianna Morgan.

1. I want something similar to Outside. A past mistake/situation (by dean, john, mary, whoever) which caused problems for the winchesters (prefer Sam as the victim) when they're older. (love anything with hurt/angsty sam)

1. I'm looking for a Sam/Dean fic set after Dean goes to Hell. Dean is in hell but he doesn't realize it. In his hell he lives life all over again. First he is in foster care and no matter how good he tries to be his foster parents don't want to keep him. I remember he gets upset and kicks the woman's pet when she tells his social worker he's creepy. Later when he is an adult is is working a miserable dead end office job. He finds a picture of an Impala and puts it up near his desk but the next day his boss has had it taken down. Pretty much anytime Deann finds any reason to be hopeful it is crushed. Then one day Sam begins working in Dean's office with him. I don't remember how but eventually Sam helps Dean remember who he is and they escape hell. Does this sound familiar to anyone

I'm looking for fics which address the difference in how obsessed Sam was: a) in finding a cure for Dean in S1's "Faith" b) breaking Dean's deal in S3 c) resurrecting Dean in the gap between S3-4, and his current attitude/choices in the gap between S7-8. Or sometime earlier would be okay too. I just want all those fics that include moments of "we used to love each other so fiercely... what happened to us?"

I'm not looking for character studies.

I mean any fics where Sam is forced to acknowledge the difference, for example:
-either brother is de-aged and only remembers the Sam that adored Dean and would do anything to emulate/protect him
-time travel of some kind; they meet their younger selves, they are body swapped with their younger selves etc.
-selective amnesia
-any similar scenarios caused by magic/MotW etc.

The overall plot line of the fic isn't important, I just want that moment when Sam realises how much he has changed.

A good example of the kind of thing I mean would be this scene in Little Child where Sam wants "the Dean that loves him and isn't angry all the time" back (role-reversed).

No het please; gen or slash. Wincest is fine, as long as there is a clear focus on their relationship as brothers as well as lovers. Destiel is also fine, especially if Cas is the reason why Sam acknowledges the change.

So, I really loved the Leviathan -- I thought they were some of the best fictional antagonists I've ever seen (Dick Roman in particular). I'm looking for anything and everything about them -- Purgatory!fic would be awesome, as would be some nice angsty/dubcon Levi!stiel/Dean, but seriously, anything is good.

(Mods, there doesn't seem to be a creature: leviathan or character: dick roman tag, so I'm leaving it at creature: not human, and seasons 7 & 8.)

Two generalized fic searches today:

1) Other than Riot Gear, are there any h/c Wincest fics set in season 8, or at least stick to canon until post season 7 (with Dean and Cas being sent to purgatory)? Preferably without a complete downer ending and bottom!Sam if there is sex.

2) Leverage crossovers where either Dean or Sam or both of them meet Hardison and flip out (because Aldis Hodge). I know there's at least one out there because I've read it, but I was wondering if there were any more. Gen or Wincest is fine for this one.

I'm more partial to plotty fic than PWP, though, but I do like D/C slash. AUs are fine (i.e., written before season 8 came along and jossed people's ideas) as are fics written after the start of season 8. I'm caught up so I don't care about spoilers. Long or short fic is fine.
